Early Saturday morning an emergency motion concerning Yong Vui Kong's drug related capital case in Singapore was filed by a Malaysian MP to be tabled for debate on Monday in Parliament.
This is speculated to be a result of the stir created when the Malaysian media picked up the story during the past month. The high profile case has received concern and active support from Malaysian parliamentarians and citizens.
Singapore human rights lawyer and Yong Vui Kong's counsel, M. Ravi, will be meeting with Malaysia's Deputy Foreign Minister on Monday, and a press conference will be held outside Parliament.
